We’re back, FearLess Dallas community! 2022 saw so much growth, program development, and even further expanded our ability to meet our Builders’ needs through one-on-one counseling, resources, and more. Indeed, growth is something that we strive for consistently, and it is our member network and community of women+ that help us grow and evolve in our mission. In today’s blog, your Dallas, TX community will discuss some of the amazing events and programming that are in store for 2023, as well as provide an update on new FearLess additions!
Meet Our Newest Client Architects
Builders are our individual clients that we work with through one-on-one counseling to help create their life blueprints. Each Builder is unique, and as such, we meet each one where they are to collaboratively create an action plan that works best for them. In order to successfully do so, however, our Client Architects must be well-versed in the helping relationship.
Client Architects are individuals who provide counseling, assist Builders in obtaining appropriate resources, and advocate for Builders’ rights and needs. In 2022, Founder and Executive Director Jill Nastasia was our only client architect, assisting many women and gender minorities through and beyond their concerns. As we continue to grow and expand, we are pleased to announce the addition of our newest full-time Client Architect Ariana Hadden Meyers, as well as our two new part-time Client Architects, Jami Nesbitt Zehr and Roxanne Byrne!
All three lovely ladies have been working with FearLess Dallas in a volunteer capacity, and we are thrilled to have them on board! To learn more about our newest FearLess team members and discuss your next steps for becoming FearLess, give our team a call today.
Introducing Our New Board of Directors
Expanding our team is not the only thing we have been up to in preparation for 2023. We have also expanded our Board of Directors! Our Board is an integral body that helps provide unique insight and ideas as to how we can tackle our goals and stay true to our mission. Their responsibilities range from spearheading important committees to community outreach and fundraising.
We are excited to have Sara Gold, Jami Nesbitt Zehr, and Erin Harper back on the Board for this coming year, in addition to our new members Heather McKinney, Judy Hoberman, Becky Rentzel, Roxanne Byrne, Bonnie Amendola, and Sarah McAloon.
Launching Our Full-Circle Mentorship Program
Something that we have been working on over the course of FearLess’ first year of programming, and something we hold near and dear to our hearts, is our full-circle mentorship program. We will be launching the pilot program in the second half of 2023, and we could not be more excited!
Full-circle mentorship is one of the core tenants of our organization, and we believe that women and gender minorities, regardless of age or position in life, have something to offer as well as something to learn. Our goal is to provide a community where individuals can mentor and be mentored, learn and lead, and connect and become connected. Give our team a call to learn more today.
What Events Are Here to Stay
Last year’s programming offered a host of fun-filled and exciting events that aimed to bridge women+ together. While we are always improving our programming and community events and workshops, some were just so good we are making them an annual event.
This year, we will be hosting our second annual Spelling Bee Fun-Raiser and competition on March 21, 2023, from 7-9 p.m. at the Whistling Pig in Dallas. If you were not able to make it last year, mark your calendars because this is an amazing experience you do not want to miss!
Due to the roaring success and incredible opportunities we were able to provide for a whole community of women and gender minorities, we will also already working hard on the programming for our second annual FearLess Summit in September. More information to come, so keep an eye out for our newsletter and other posts to learn more.
Back by popular demand, we will continue to host FearLess stories every third Thursday of each month at Opening Bell in Dallas from 7-8:30 p.m. If you are interested in telling a story, sharing a personal poem, or simply having the stage to share your insights and experiences, we will also be hosting three storytelling workshops throughout the year that will take place prior to storytelling, with the first one coming up this February 16, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
An Exciting New Year of Programming
Though 2023 has just started, we have not hesitated to hit the ground running. We will be hosting workshops for our Builders and other community members based off of their needs, covering topics such as home buying, finance 101 and making money count, goal setting, and brain health. Additionally, we will be hosting community events for important areas of interest, including an informative self-defense workshop, master gardening, and more.
