FearLess Summit is our annual commitment to bringing together women+ from all walks of life to connect, learn, grow, and dream about what is possible. There will be workshops, speakers, and, of course, free food.
State Representative Ana-María Ramos has dedicated her term to serving the diverse communities of Texas House District 102 in Dallas County. Elected in 2018, unseating her Republican opponent, Representative Ramos continues to champion the rights of voters, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and women. During her legislative career, she has significantly contributed as a member of the Defense & Veterans’ Affairs, Natural Resources, and Juvenile Justice & Family Issues Committees.
Sallie Baxter is a yoga studio owner and wellness expert. Sallie has been teaching yoga and wellness practices for the last 5 years and is passionate about helping people release stress and connect to their inner peace. Sallie opened her own yoga studio Balanced Being Yoga & Wellness in 2023 with the goal of serving the community and helping people find sustainable ways to relieve stress and anxiety. Sallie loves to lead grounding stretch classes or gentle sound meditations that can bring you into a meditative state and create a sense of safety and peace in the body, mind and heart.
Karen Carillo is the president and founder of A Sisters Legacy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that strives to make accessible care in honor of Marissa Ann Carillo and offers individual and group therapeutic programming. All services are based on a sliding scale and at an hourly rate, as well as encourage a care plan as unique as the person being served.
Dr. Erin Harper is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center where she leads school and youth-focused initiatives. Her research focuses on participatory school and community-based preventive interventions, with a special focus on co-creating programs with Black adolescent girls and families.
Dr. Rahmatu Kassimu is a public health consultant, health educator, and change agent, combining her love of public health and education to empower and equip others to take ownership of their own health holistically.

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated and purchased foods through a network of nearly 500 Partner Agencies and Organizations in 13 counties.
Kimberly Evans Sulfridge is a seasoned professional in the Financial Services industry focused on financial independence for individuals and raising money-smart kids. Since 1994, she has been dedicated to assisting individuals in planning for their financial futures, including wealth accumulation, distribution strategies, and keeping the family protected throughout their life.
Jami runs MHC Consulting Group and uses practical techniques she has honed to help teams drive growth through continuous improvement strategies and people leadership expertise. Moreover, she mentors and empowers colleagues and executives alike, and achieves results by building relationships, managing goals, and creating essential processes.
Registration begins at 9:00 am on the sixth floor of the J Erik Jonsson Central Library. Park in the parking garage located off of 1541 Wood Street, then take the elevator up to the sixth floor. If you have not registered online, you can register day-of, and light snacks and coffee will be provided.
At 9:15 am, we will formally welcome attendees and speakers to the third annual FearLess Summit with opening remarks, followed by the keynote speech. This year’s keynote speaker is House District 102 State Representative Ana-María Ramos, who will share a bit about her story.
This year’s breakout session blocks are curated to look at the various areas of health that comprise a person’s whole being. This includes nutritional, physical, and environmental health, career and financial health, and mental, spiritual and intellectual health.
